For summer 2016, Boston-based footwear label converse shoes rolls out three new iterations of the comfy, casual Chuck II Hi silhouette. Featuring quilted premium leather uppers, the Car Leather pack draw inspiration from hi-end automotive interiors. Of course, as we’ve come to enjoy from the Chuck II, the sneakers all feature a lightweight rubber sole unit and Lunarlon cushioning. Available in black, brown and white, this shoe is currently an in-store only release and can be found at KITH.

In celebration of the silhouette’s 40th birthday, Converse got together with Japanese imprint Nonnative for a new take on the converse chuck ii craft leather i.Set to release in a trio of colorways featuring a clean brown, black, and grey, each pair is constructed with a premium suede upper sitting on top of a durable off-white rubber sole. White leather hits line the medial and lateral sides of each sneaker, with the classic Converse star logo appearing directly behind the stripes.

Los Angeles-based, multi-function skate-culture hub, Babylon, partners with Converse on a capsule collection that takes on the creative spirit of both brands. Babylon, created by punk band Trash Talk, serves the LA community as a retail space, skate spot and art gallery. On the nature of the partnership, Babylon’s Lee Spielman states, “Converse has supported so many different forms of creativity throughout the years. Whether it is music, art, skateboarding or sports. That is something that we also represent with Babylon,”The cheap converse chuck ii features Babylon script logos embroidered along the heel and swathed along the shoe’s textured toecap. The design is finished with monochrome, screen-printed “peace signs” throughout the upper.
